Fit and Fun Classes

Starts: Wednesday, September 19th

1:30 pm to 2:30 pm

Low Impact Aerobics; Strengthen and Lengthen; Improve Joint Mobility and your Balance while moving to fun music!  Please bring your own Yoga mat.

The class can be done standing or sitting; then participants who are able to, will lie or sit on their yoga mat for the remainder of the strengthening and mobility exercises.  Those seated in a chair, will do the same exercises and move according to how you feel and what you can do.  The instructors will help you to modify the movements.  It is a good workout for everyone!

Fee: $36/6 classes or $7 per drop-in class.  Membership not required.  Please register with the front office.

 

NIA Fitness Class

Starts: Thursday, September 20th

11:00 am to 12 noon

NIA (Neuromuscular Integrative Action) is a design system that promotes sustainability in the body– a fitness class that combines gentle movements and sensibilities from the dance arts, tai-chi, and healing arts. It is welcoming of all body types, skill levels, and ages. The movements are taught on the spot and dancers are invited to move at their own pace and level.  This is a  modern and interesting class to get fit!

The first principle of Nia is:  The Joy of Movement!  Listen to music, get moving, and have fun!   (No mat or shoes required).

Please register in the front office.  Membership not required.

$35.00 for 6 weeks or $6.00 drop-in fee per class.

Zumba® Gold

ZUMBA GOLD

Zumba® Gold is a Latin inspired, low impact, cardio dance class for older adults.

Program fee: $44.00 for 9 weeks.

Line Dancing

Tuesday, 1:45 pm – 2:45 pm

Starts: October 2nd

Cowgirls and Cowboys, come and join the fun with Line Dancing exercise in a friendly environment. Learn the steps and turns to upbeat music.

Gentle Fit

GENTLE FIT

Wednesdays, 12:15 pm – 1:15 pm

Starts: October 3rd

This is a great way to introduce some physical exercise to your life if you haven’t been very active recently or if you just want to maintain some flexibility and endurance.  Exercises are done from a sitting or standing position (no floor exercises) led by a qualified Parks & Recreation Instructor.
