The Ontario Photo Card is government-issued photo identification that allows people who don’t drive and are 16 years of age or over to access government, financial or business services that require proof of identity.
You can apply for an Ontario Photo Card if:
- You do not drive
- You are a resident of Ontario, and
- You are 16 years of age and over.
You will need to bring to a ServiceOntario Centre:
Your original identity documents to prove your legal name, date of birth and signature.
List of acceptable identity documents: Passport, Marriage Certificate, any Government document that has your signature
Cost is $35.00, valid for 5 years

If you have a driver’s licence and want to get a Photo Card, you have to give up your licence. Your driver’s licence will be cancelled when you apply for your Photo Card.
