Presentation: “It’s Not Right”

Friday, January 25th at 1:00 pm

“It’s Not Right: When Good People Behave Badly”.

Join this interactive session on abusive behaviour that we sometimes experience as people, and what to do about it. We will use material from the “It’s Not Right: Neighbours, Friends and Families for Older Adults” program. The workshop will feature quizzes on aging myths and abuse and short video clips as case studies of abuse. Abuse can be emotional, financial or physical. The format will be an open discussion on: what we can learn from these about respectful behaviour, how to respond and how not to respond to abuse, using what we know from best practices and from real world experiences.

Presented by Elder Abuse Ontario. This is a provincial initiative to educate seniors about how to respond to abuse and negative stereotypes and what resources are available.
Free to attend.  Please join us.
